staying in touch with those near and far

One of my new years resolutions was to better keep in touch with friends and family that are far away. I do the typical calls, texts and facetime but I don't think anything is really better than receiving a handwritten note in the mail. So this past week I trekked down to my local card store and picked up some cards for friends and family. These cards were full of whimsy and who doesn't love a whale and an English guard wearing a bear as a hat. The following are some of my favorite places to pick up cards and stationary.

1. Paperchase- I love this store because of the cute variety and quirkiness of its supply. For those in the U.K. they have a lovely selection and have started introducing a loyalty card scheme.

2. Papersource- For those in the USA you will know that this store is the ultimate destination. While Paperchase is whimsical and cute, Papersource is more on the indie/designer side.

3. Rifle Paper Co.- I challenge you guys to go on their website and try to find something you don't like. Their designs are subtle and sophisticated. While on the pricey side they have such beautiful options that anyone would love to receive.

4. Etsy- This option has so many different choices and it gives you the opportunity to support independent artists while buying something completely unique.

5. Michaels- Finally, for all those in the USA Michaels is a great resource for packs of cards that are cute and great for small correspondence. Michaels has a great dollar section that I always seem to get way too much from.

I hope this has inspired you all to go out and send a card or letter to someone special to you. Now all I need to do is take these cards down to the post and mail them to their respective corners of the world. Please let me know if you all have favorite places to buy cards and stationary.
